Oksana Avizova, MSN, FNP-BC

Nurse Practitioner

Oksana Avizova, MSN, FNP-BC, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner at Long Island Neurology Consultants. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing with a Family Nurse Practitioner specialization from Utica University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from New York University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Queens College, City University of New York.

With a clinical background in neurology and critical care, Oksana began her nursing career in the Neurosurgical Intensive Care Unit at North Shore University Hospital, caring for patients with complex neurological conditions. During this time, she completed the William Randolph Hearst Critical Care Nursing Fellowship.

Oksana also brings extensive experience in care management, having served as a Senior Nurse Care Manager coordinating complex medical and social needs for patients with chronic conditions. This background informs her patient-centered approach to cognitive disorders, where coordinated care, family education, and long-term support are essential.

At Long Island Neurology Consultants, Oksana focuses on the evaluation and management of cognitive and memory disorders, including mild cognitive impairment, Alzheimer’s disease, and related dementias. Working closely with neurologists, she participates in the comprehensive evaluation and longitudinal management of these conditions.

Outside of clinical practice, Oksana enjoys spending time with her family, staying active, and continuing her professional interest in brain health and cognitive medicine.
